The Benefits of Dentures
Affordable
Most dental insurance plans cover at least a portion, if not all, of the treatment cost.
Removable
You can take your dentures out at any time to eat, drink, and sleep comfortably.
Easy to Maintain
You’ll simply brush them like you would with natural teeth and soak them overnight in a special solution.
The Denture Treatment Process
Impressions or Scans
After you’ve been approved for dentures, Dr. Wilson will create a custom treatment plan. Our team will take impressions of your mouth, which will be sent out to a dental lab. This is where your dentures will be crafted. Dr. Wilson may give you a set of temporary dentures to protect your gums while you wait for your final dentures to be made.
Tooth Extraction (If Needed)
While this isn’t the case for every patient, extractions may be needed to make room for your new dentures. Dr. Wilson will start by numbing your mouth and/or using sedation to make sure you stay comfortable throughout the procedure. After your extraction, it’s important that you get plenty of rest for at least 24 hours. Dr. Wilson will provide detailed instructions to ensure you stay comfortable and pain-free during your healing process.
Fitting and Adjustments
When your dentures are complete, you will return to our office to begin the fitting process. Dr. WIlson will make sure your dentures are as comfortable and functional as possible. Our team will schedule any additional follow up checkups to make sure your dentures are still fitting and functioning well.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the dentures process?
Because every patient’s needs are different, there is no standard timeline when it comes to the dentures process. The length of your denture treatment plan may depend on the type of dentures you need and the condition of your mouth, teeth, and gums. That being said, we see most denture timelines lasting several weeks or a few months from start to finish.
